WARM UP SERIES
The Warm Up Series is a series of three races - Houston Half Marathon & 10K, HMSA Classical 25K, and Sugar Land 30K. The races are designed to give runners a systematic increase in distance under competitive conditions in preparation for the Chevron Houston Marathon to be run in January. The races, part of the Houston Area Road Runners Association’s Fall Series, are spaced about a month apart and are ideal for marathon training.
For the second race of the series, the Houston Masters Sports Association has gone back to its original 25K event. This race will take place at and around the Wortham Center in Downtown Houston. More details to come as the race planning progresses.

The Sugar Land 30K directed by Finish Line Sports is the third race in the series, just seven full weeks before the Chevron Houston Marathon. The certified triple-loop course begins and ends at Sugar Land Town Square. A portion of the proceeds from this race will be donated to Cenikor, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, AutismSpeaks, ImpactAHero, CDifferent Foundation, Houston-Athens Marathon Exchange and Boy Scouts in First Colony. The race is normally scheduled for December.
